With Dev4Side's Silverlight Gantt for SharePoint 2007, you
obtain a new SharePoint Web Part that can be easly installed into
your SharePoint's farm. The ablity to control your Tasks using a
fully customizable Silverlight component provides a much better
interaction compared to the standard SharePoint Gantt List
View.
The Dev4Side's Silverlight Gantt Web Part can be attached to
your Task List providing a better user iteraction: your Tasks can
be finally be explored simply pointing them with your mouse. All
Tasks properties are displayed directly into the web part throuth a
dynamic tooltip, you don't need anymore to switch
between pages.
Project managers receive the ability to manage user's tasks
directly from this Web Part, Tasks can be moved through the
timeline, always respecting the tasks constraints.
List of available features
- Web part that can be integrated into a list view page
or in a normal SharePoint site page

Configuration
After have correctly installed the components on you SharePoint
farm, you have different kinds of configuration that you can apply
to it. You can find all of this configurations directly from the
"properties tool pane" of the Dev4Side Silverlight Gantt Web
Part.
There are four different groups of properties:
- Data Source configuration
Into this configuration group you can modify the source task list
for displaying tasks into the Silverlight Gantt view.
- Select task list - a drop down list for selecting
the task list that you want to render in Silverlight.
- Select list view - a drop down list that enable
you to select the right view from the task list you have
selected.

Silverlight options
Into this configuration group you can modify all related
to the Silverlight plug-in area.
- Gantt Height - an integer that enable you to
select the max height of the Gantt area. The default value is 360
pixel.
- Debug application - a Boolean value that enable or
disable debug information of the web part.

Gantt options
Into this configuration group you can modify all related
to the Gantt user interface and all its features.
- Allow task movements - a Boolean value that enable
or disable task update through drag and drop operations over the
time line.
- Allow zoom - a Boolean value that enable or
disable changes to the zoom factor of the time line (by hours, by
days, by weeks, by months or by years).
- Allow constraints - a Boolean value that enable or
disable constraints rendering and behavior.
- Start from today - a Boolean value that enable the
rendering of tasks from the current day (if set to true) or from
the first task day (if set to false).
- Cell Width - an integer that will be used for
rendering the width of all day cells.
- Cell Height - an integer that will be used for
rendering the height of all day cells.
- Font size - an integer that sets the size of the
font for all the control, specially for the time line header and
the task list on the left of the Gantt view.
- Milestone task height - an integer that will be
used for rendering a single milestone task.

Colors options
Into this configuration group you can modify all colors
that are used into the Silverlight control.
- Allow gradient color - a Boolean value that enable
or disable the gradient brush over the object of the Gantt time
line.
- Weekend color column - the color for displaying
weekend column.
- Hover row color - the color for the row that help
users to view the selected task.
- Header color - the color for the header
border.
- Calendar color - the color for all Gantt time line
borders and lines.
- Task color - the color for the background of a
simple task.
- Task gradient color - the color that will be used
for the gradient together with the task color for the background of
a simple task.
- Task text color - the color for a simple task text
on the left side of the Gantt Web Part.
- Selected task color - the color for a simple task
selected.
- Selected task gradient color - the color that will
be user for the gradient together with the selected task color for
the background of a simple task selected.
- Selected task border color - the color for the
border of a simple task selected.
- Assigned to current user task color - the color
for the background of a simple task assigned to the current
user.
- Milestone task color - the color for the
background of a milestone task.
- Milestone selected task color - the color for the
background of a selected milestone task.
- Milestone text color - the color for a milestone
task text on the list side of the Gantt Web Part.
- Assigned to current user milestone color - the
color for the background of a milestone task assigned to the
current user.
- ToolTip background color - the color for the
background of the dynamic tool tip for displaying task
properties.
- Task dependency color - the color used for the
line of a simple task dependency.
- Milestone dependency color - the color used for
the line of a milestone dependency.
