The challenge
The challenges companies face today.
Manual processes consuming hours every week
Email-based approvals, copy-pasting between systems, reports compiled by hand every Monday morning. Hours of repetitive work your team could use for high-value activities.
Business data inaccessible or incomprehensible
The data is there, but it's in Excel, SQL, Salesforce and SharePoint — all separate. Without a unified BI platform, decisions are made on intuition, not numbers.
External tools that duplicate M365
Jira, Asana, Monday, Typeform — often they exist only because Power Apps and Power Automate weren't configured. The result: extra costs, data outside the Microsoft ecosystem.
Fragile low-code solutions
Poorly built Power Automate flows break. Flows without error handling, apps without data architecture, BI reports without governance. The difference between a solution that works and one that fires every week.
How we work
A structured path for measurable results.
Process Analysis
Mapping the existing process, identifying bottlenecks, defining the target state. Deliverable: solution blueprint with time saved estimate and expected ROI.
Design
Solution architecture: Dataverse data model, flow logic, BI report structure, integration with existing systems. Everything documented before building.
Development and Testing
Iterative development with weekly client demos. Testing on real data, validation with end users, performance optimisation before go-live.
Go-live and Training
Assisted release, role-based training, operational documentation. Post go-live support for the first 30 days to ensure adoption and solution stability.

Deep dive
Low-code doesn’t mean low quality
Power Platform is Microsoft’s answer to the need for rapid automation and digitalisation. With Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI and Copilot Studio, companies can build operational solutions in weeks, not months — without the costs and timelines of traditional development projects.
Dev4Side has been a Power Platform specialist since the platform launched. The Modern Work team has hundreds of implementations to its name: automations, mobile apps, BI dashboards, chatbots and much more.
Power Automate — Process Automation
Eliminating repetitive tasks is the fastest way to free up your team’s time. With Power Automate we automate approval flows, data synchronisation, notifications, integrations with external systems and any process that currently requires manual intervention.
Flow types: cloud flows, desktop flows (RPA), scheduled flows, event-driven flows, integration with 500+ native connectors.
Power BI — Business Intelligence
We turn company data into decisions. With Power BI we build interactive reports and operational dashboards connected to the data sources you already have: Excel, SharePoint, SQL, Dataverse, Azure, Salesforce and over 100 native connectors.
Includes: data modelling, advanced DAX, reports embedded in Teams and SharePoint, automatic refreshes, RLS for role-based data security.
Power Apps — Business Applications
We build custom business applications with Power Apps, natively integrable in Microsoft 365 and Teams. From a simple digital form to a multi-screen operational app for tablet and mobile — Power Apps makes it possible to deliver in days what traditional development would take months to complete.
Copilot Studio — AI Agents
We design and develop conversational agents with Copilot Studio (formerly Power Virtual Agents), integrated in Teams or company portals. The bots answer questions, open tickets, retrieve data and manage processes — available 24/7, with no additional support costs.
Power Platform Consulting in Italy
Dev4Side’s Modern Work team has delivered over 100 Power Platform projects for Italian companies across manufacturing, retail, logistics, finance and professional services. We understand the practical challenges Italian organisations face when automating processes that often still rely on paper, email and manual Excel files — and we know how to deliver solutions that people actually adopt.
Our consultants work in Italian, and our solutions are designed for the Italian regulatory context including GDPR compliance, Italian labour law requirements in HR automation, and integration with Italian ERP systems such as Zucchetti, TeamSystem and Sage.
Why Power Platform Beats Custom Development for Most Use Cases
For 80% of business automation and app requirements, Power Platform delivers faster, cheaper and more maintainable results than custom software development. A Power Automate flow that eliminates a manual approval process can be built in days. A Power Apps canvas app that replaces a paper form can go live in a week. A Power BI dashboard that consolidates data from five systems can be operational in two weeks.
The remaining 20% — scenarios requiring complex integrations, high-volume transaction processing, or custom UI beyond Power Apps’ capabilities — is where custom development on .NET and Azure makes sense. Dev4Side’s Modern AI Apps team handles these cases, and we will tell you honestly which approach fits your requirement.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Power Apps and Power Automate? +
Power Apps is for building user interfaces — forms, apps, portals — that people interact with to view or enter data. Power Automate is for automating processes that run in the background — approvals, data synchronisation, notifications, integrations between systems. Most solutions use both: a Power App for the user interface and Power Automate flows for the underlying process logic.
Can Power Platform integrate with our existing ERP or management software? +
Yes. Power Platform has 500+ native connectors for common systems (Salesforce, SAP, Dynamics 365, Oracle, Jira, ServiceNow) and a generic HTTP connector for any REST API. For Italian systems like Zucchetti, TeamSystem or Sage, we use the HTTP connector or custom connectors. We have built integrations with most Italian ERP systems commonly used in manufacturing and professional services.
Is Power Platform secure enough for sensitive business data? +
Power Platform runs on Microsoft Azure infrastructure and inherits Microsoft 365's enterprise security model. Data stored in Dataverse is encrypted at rest and in transit, subject to Entra ID access controls and auditable via Microsoft Purview. The platform is used by companies in finance, healthcare and legal — sectors with stringent data requirements.
How much does a Power Platform project typically cost? +
A simple Power Automate automation typically costs €2,000–€5,000. A Power Apps canvas app with Dataverse backend and approval workflows costs €8,000–€20,000. A Power BI reporting solution across multiple data sources typically costs €5,000–€15,000. Copilot Studio agents start at €10,000 for a production-ready deployment. All figures exclude Microsoft licence costs.
What Microsoft licences are required for Power Platform? +
Power Automate cloud flows for Microsoft 365 data are included in most Microsoft 365 plans. Power Apps per-user licence (€20/user/month) is required for apps using Dataverse. Power BI Pro (€10/user/month) is required for sharing reports. We help clients understand the licence implications of each solution before building.
Can Power Platform replace our current project management or ticketing tool? +
In many cases, yes — particularly for internal use cases where the primary data source is already in Microsoft 365. We have replaced Jira, Asana, Monday and similar tools with Power Apps + Dataverse + Power Automate solutions that are cheaper to licence, integrated with Teams, and tailored to the company's specific process.
What is Dataverse and when should we use it? +
Dataverse is Microsoft's enterprise database for Power Platform. It provides relational data storage, business rules, role-based access control, audit logging and native integration with all Power Platform components. We recommend Dataverse when data is complex, when security requirements are strict, or when the solution needs to scale beyond what SharePoint lists can handle.
How do you ensure Power Platform solutions don't break when Microsoft updates the platform? +
We build solutions following Microsoft's documented best practices and avoid undocumented APIs or workarounds that break on updates. We implement automated testing for critical flows and maintain a support contract that includes monitoring and remediation of platform-driven changes. Our team tracks the Microsoft 365 roadmap to anticipate changes that affect client solutions.
